Angelina Jolie to the Press “How’s this for Dramatic Irony, Baby?”
What Makes Poke Think? June 14th, 20071. the use of words to convey a meaning that is the opposite of its literal meaning.
America’s favorite celebrity child hoarder has gone all ironical on us. She’s starring in a film about freedom of press…But Jolie ain’t talkin’ to the press until they sign her contract. The contract contains language that makes my head hurt — not from ponderous language, but from ridiculous demands. How can a reporter not be allowed to ask Lips about her on-again, off-again, creepy-again relationship with Poke look-a-like Brad Pitt? And what’s this — no delving into the psychology of adopting all those Jolie-Pitt kids that Sally Struthers wanted to eat?
Where does she come off? This is America dammit! Our journalists have integrity here! If they’re not allowed to ask her who she preferred having sex with Billy Bob or Juliet, then they can not do their jobs! Does she think they were sent their to do interviews about the film?
Poppycock and Garnish Hens!
